 | Feb 20, 2010 Shining Light Academy Varsity Girls basketball team win the 2010 NCCSA State Championship by defeating Hilltop Christian 66 - 60 in overtime. This is a sweet victory for them because this championship was the one they felt they should have won last year. Now it's on to the Nationals where the Lady Knights will attempt to defend their 2009 National Championship. WAY TO GO GIRLS! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!

 | Feb 19, 2010 The Lady Knights defeat Heritage of Zebulon, NC by the score of 65 - 40 in today's semi-final game. This was the team that beat us last year in the State Chapionship Game. The girls will now play for the 2010 NCCSA State Championship tomorrow at 12:30 PM in Monroe, NC.

 | Feb 18, 2010 The varsity boys lose in the second round to Heritage of Hudson, NC by the score of 49 -39. The guys have nothing to be ashamed of. They have had a great season and will carry a 24 - 4 winning record into the National Championship Tournament next month in Tennessee. |
